Ben Christman, a 21-year-old offensive lineman, tragically passed away on February 11, 2025. He was discovered deceased in his off-campus apartment near the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The Clark County Coroner’s Office is investigating the cause of death, but it has not been publicly disclosed.
Christman began his collegiate football career at Ohio State University in 2021 as a highly regarded four-star recruit. After the 2022 season, he transferred to the University of Kentucky, where he faced challenges due to a knee injury that sidelined him for the entire 2023 season. Demonstrating resilience, he returned to play in all 12 games during the 2024 season, primarily contributing on special teams. Following the season, he entered the transfer portal and committed to UNLV, aiming to continue his football journey under head coach Dan Mullen.
UNLV’s head coach, Dan Mullen, expressed profound sorrow over Christman’s passing, stating, “Our team’s heart is broken to hear of Ben’s passing… Ben made the world a better place and he will be missed.
