The Brisbane Broncos’ contract negotiations have taken a significant turn, with Kotoni Staggs reportedly nearing a $2 million contract extension. This development poses challenges for the Broncos, particularly concerning fellow winger Selwyn Cobbo’s future with the team.
Staggs, currently on an $800,000 per season deal, has attracted interest from rival clubs, notably the North Queensland Cowboys. However, reports indicate that the Cowboys have withdrawn their offer, leaving the Broncos in a favorable position to retain Staggs’ services.
