Austin Reaves delivered an impressive 25 points for the Lakers (15-12), while Anthony Davis contributed 20 points and dominated the glass with 21 rebounds. James recorded 19 points, six rebounds, and seven assists in the victory.
For the Kings (13-15), De’Aaron Fox led the charge with 26 points, while Domantas Sabonis posted a near triple-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. The two teams are set to face off again in Sacramento on Saturday.
LeBron’s Longevity
Heading into the game, James had logged 57,437 regular-season minutes over his illustrious 22-year NBA career, just nine minutes shy of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time record of 57,446 minutes. Early in the second quarter, James surpassed that mark, solidifying his status as one of the league’s most enduring players.
This latest achievement adds to James’ growing legacy, which already includes becoming the NBA’s career scoring leader last season, surpassing Abdul-Jabbar’s 38,387 career points. Remarkably, James made his NBA debut in Sacramento on October 29, 2003, bringing his career full circle with this record-breaking moment.
