Netflix is set to release a new documentary series focusing on the Southeastern Conference (SEC) football teams during the 2024 season. This eight-part series, comprising 45-minute episodes, is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2025.

The series aims to provide an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the drama and pageantry of SEC football, offering viewers exclusive access to coaches and players throughout the season. However, it will not feature teams from Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Instead, the focus will be on the remaining 10 schools in the conference.

Produced by Box to Box Films, the same company behind successful sports docuseries like “Formula 1: Drive to Survive,” the series is expected to capture the excitement and intensity of SEC football. The 2024 season was particularly eventful, with Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC and three teams—Georgia, Texas, and Tennessee—qualifying for the 12-team college football playoff.

This documentary series is anticipated to appeal to both die-hard fans and newcomers, offering an unprecedented glimpse into the inner workings of SEC football programs. With Netflix’s track record in sports documentaries, the series is poised to be a significant addition to the platform’s lineup
