East Carolina University (ECU) wide receiver Kelan Robinson has announced his decision to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, seeking opportunities with another football program. Robinson, a junior from Grand Prairie, Texas, joined the Pirates in 2023 after transferring from the University of Kansas. During his tenure at ECU, he appeared in 19 games over two seasons. In the 2024 season, Robinson participated in nine games, recording four receptions for 33 yards.

Robinson’s departure adds to a growing list of ECU players entering the transfer portal. Notably, defensive starters linebacker Zakye Barker and cornerback Isaiah Brown-Murray also announced their intentions to transfer earlier this week. This trend reflects a broader movement within college football, as athletes seek new environments that align with their athletic and academic goals.

As Robinson explores his options, his contributions to the Pirates over the past two seasons are acknowledged, and he is wished success in his future endeavors.
